Blazemark®: Critical Data When You Need it Most

Posted on 25 July 2009

blazemark-logoMicrosite-Product-Description-2Blazemark® is an innovative software tool that facilitates the management and allows for the sharing of pre plans.  Blazemark® is all encompassing, cataloging critical information about buildings, structures, water supplies, risk, strategies, and other key information to help keep fire fighters safe and effective. This information is used by first in companies, building and other emergency personnel to quickly grasp the operations, threats, and hazards of a building or site.

Through the comprehensive use of photographs, maps, drawings, and other vital information, including real-time traffic and building webcams first responders receive a “clear” and “unobstructed” picture of the building or site.  Blazemark® allows for simultaneous multi-user access across the community, region, even globe with a robust highly secure, internet-based, Web Application.  Preplans can easily be shared with mutual aide companies to allow for response team interoperability.

It provides searchable, portable documents (PDFs) that can be printed for off-line review or onsite availability.  In addition, Blazemark® allows facility owners to be in compliance with International Fire Codes 1408.1 and 1408.2.

Blazemark® now offers a separate high-rise module for high rises and other complex structures.  Complicated high rise buildings can now be broken down so the information needed is simplified and covers specific concerns unique to high rises.

Recently, Blazemark® was used in the Unified Incident Command Decision Support (UICDS) as one of the 22 selected vendors.  UICDS is a middleware foundation that enables commercial and government incident management technologies to share information and support decisions for the National Response Framework and National Incident Management to prevent, protect, respond, and recover natural, technological, and terrorists’ events.  UICDS is sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate, and is being executed through a contract with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).
