iStation is a website portal built on a Microsoft® SharePoint® platform designed exclusively to address the unique needs of Fire and Rescue organizations.

The firehouse culture is about immediate response, but oftentimes firehouse information systems are frustrating to use and are a complicated tangle of out-of-date, hard to find information. Firefighters can access iStation from any location with a standard web browser, starting their day with full view of the “state of the station.”  iStation automatically launches when the computer is “booted” up giving firefighters direct communication through the use of Alerts, Announcements and the Chief’s Blog. With iStation, the firehouse is connected to real-time, centralized information.

Designed to intuitively lead firefighters to information, iStation helps save time. Forms and policies are well cataloged in easy-to-access, logical repositories with a search capability. Multiple calendars are merged to give users a complete view of the day. Third party applications can all be accessed from one location. An Apparatus List tracks the availability of critical equipment, while Pre-Fire Data, Project Status and Meeting Minutes are organized for easy retrieval keeping firefighters informed like never before. This means no more digging around trying to remember where information is stored.

Collaboration on policies, procedures, budgets and strategic plans are simplified and more organized. iStation features a document workspace that allows multiple, approved personnel to simultaneously collaborate on the editing of documents. An Apparatus Log and a Daily Log allow station shifts to communicate the day’s activities during a shift transition, enhancing collaboration by sharing views with all deputies and the Chief. iStation keeps firefighters informed like never before.
